A fun thing I like to do at this time of year (or any time of year, actually) is change my computer's desktop wallpaper. Since it is the holiday season, I love to adorn my screen with beautiful images of holiday cheer! It helps with the mood :) Usually, I go to Google's search engine and look for Images that I like, save them to my computer and then set as desktop background. This used to be a pretty simple process. However, things have changed (of course)! A process which used to involve just a few clicks is now almost impossible to do. When choosing an image for your desktop background, you want the image to be large enough in size so that it covers your entire screen and doesn't look blurry or distorted. Google Images has now made it difficult, if not impossible, to save large, high quality photos. Of course, there is a reason for this.
The article here explains what has happened with Google Images and makes a suggestion at the end which I have decided to adopt for myself. I'm now using Bing Images to search for and save pictures to my computer.
